Families of road traffic victims invited to World Day of Remembrance on Nov. 17

For Immediate Release: Nov 06 2023
Bismarck, ND - Families and friends of those who lost their lives or were severely injured in motor vehicle crashes are invited to join state and local officials to commemorate World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at the state capitol on Friday, November 17, 2023, at noon.

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is an annual international event, with an annual observance in North Dakota. Friends and families are invited to attend to help raise awareness and honor the millions of people killed and millions more injured on the world’s roads each year as a way to call for change to prevent such tragedies.

Families are invited to bring items representing their lost loved one to help create a temporary memorial to symbolize the lives lost on North Dakota roads annually. Concrete Daisiez is also donating flowers to the memorial. Items will be returned immediately at the conclusion of the event.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at https://visionzero.nd.gov/events/WDR/RSVP/.
