Motorcycle safety is for everyone on the road.

Riding a motorcycle is thrilling, but there can be potential dangers that go along with it.

In 2023 in North Dakota:

  • 195 motorcycle crashes occurred, 158 were injured and 16 were fatalities.
  • A motorcycle crash occured about every 2 days.
  • 88% of motorcycle fatalities were not wearing a helmet.
Motorcycle safety is for everyone on the road. It is important for motorists and motorcyclists to do their part so there are zero fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.

  Ages 14 - 15 Ages 16 - 17 Ages 18+

Motorcycle Permit  
  • Restricted to daylight driving only
  • Restricted to 250CC motorcycles and under
  • Must wear helmet
  • No passengers
