Michael was my youngest son, he just turned 18 and was only 36 hours from graduating Minot High School. He was a start soccer goalie and traveled the country playing at a high level. He loved his friends and his 2 older brothers and 5 year old sister. He was an amazing artist painting beautiful canvases. He worked hard and was very responsible. He believed in inclusion and acceptance of all, understanding that our differences are what make us all special and unique. He was smart and kind and was just a sweet and gentle soul.

Crash Details:
Michael and his best friend were walking home from getting some food at around 10:30 pm. As he started across the street, he dropped his wallet and his cash fell out. No cars were on the road at this point as it was so late on a Wednesday night. He bent down to collect his wallet and his money. A 16 year old driver drove over Michael, killing him within seconds. This teen turned himself in 2 days later.
