Crash Details:
Scott Culver was driving a motorcycle on E Bismarck Expressway and was headed west and was being followed by his wife, Christa Culver, 54, of Mandan. Scott was in the right lane, and an SUV was in the left lane. The SUV veered into the right lane, which caused Scott to veer right and lose control of his motorcycle and strike the light pole. Scott was taken to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. It is unclear if contact was made between the vehicles driven by Scott and the SUV. After Scott hit the light pole, Christa rear ended the SUV with her passenger car. This caused serious injury to Christa who was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Christa is expected to recover. No charges have been filed at this time, as there needs to be a thorough investigation conducted by the Bismarck Police Traffic Unit. They continue to follow up on the evidence and will send the report to the Burleigh County State’s Attorney Office for their review and determination of charges.
