For Immediate Release: Aug 01 2025

Bismarck Larks host Vision Zero DUI Enforcement All-Star Night

BISMARCK, ND – The top DUI enforcers from the southwest region of North Dakota were honored at the Bismarck Larks game on July 31 at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark for their work to remove impaired drivers from North Dakota roadways.

The first Vision Zero DUI Enforcement All-Star Night took place in August 2024 in partnership with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The event has since expanded to include three DUI Enforcement All-Star nights on the western side of the state this summer, including one at a Minot Hot Tots game in June.

“It is an honor to recognize these dedicated officers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of their community,” said Vision Zero Outreach Program Director Ryan Gellner. “Each impaired driver removed from the road is a potential life saved and brings us one step closer to reaching zero motor vehicle fatalities in North Dakota.”

A total of 12 law enforcement officers were recognized at the beginning of the Larks game and throughout via announcements.

  • Patrol Officer Tanner Benske, Bismarck Police Department
  • Patrol Officer Mark Thueson, Lincoln Police Department
  • Deputy Sheriff Jade Johnson, Burleigh County Sheriff’s Office
  • Patrol Officer Skylar Terrill, Mandan Police Department
  • Deputy Sheriff Joe Citta, Burleigh County Sheriff’s Office
  • Patrol Deputy Josh Gartner, Morton County Sheriff’s Office
  • Trooper Damian Wright, North Dakota Highway Patrol
  • Traffic Officer Joseph Peterson, Bismarck Police Department
  • Officer Michael Schneider, Lincoln Police Department
  • Patrol Corporal Chris Tracy, Morton County Sheriff’s Office
  • Patrol Officer Brennan Bennington, Bismarck Police Department
  • Trooper Evan Johnson, North Dakota Highway Patrol

The final DUI Enforcement All-Star Night of 2025 will be in partnership with the Dickinson Big Sticks on August 4. Alcohol and drug-related crashes are 100% preventable. Many lives would be saved in North Dakota each year if every driver consistently made the choice to always drive sober or find a sober ride. Special thanks to Puklich Chevrolet for sponsoring the Bismarck event.
