Dickinson Big Sticks host Vision Zero DUI Enforcement All-Star Night

DICKINSON, ND – The top DUI enforcers from the northwest region of North Dakota were honored at the Dickinson Big Sticks game on Aug. 4 at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Ballpark for their work to remove impaired drivers from North Dakota roadways.

The first Vision Zero DUI Enforcement All-Star Night took place in August 2024 in partnership with the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks. The event has since expanded to include three DUI Enforcement All-Star nights on the western side of the state this summer, including one at a Minot Hot Tots game in June and a Bismarck Larks game in July.

“It is an honor to recognize these dedicated officers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of their community,” said Vision Zero Outreach Program Director Ryan Gellner. “Each impaired driver removed from the road is a potential life saved and brings us one step closer to reaching zero motor vehicle fatalities in North Dakota.”

A total of nine law enforcement officers were recognized at the beginning of the Big Sticks game and throughout via announcements.

  • Deputy Jordan Malchose, Hettinger County Sheriff’s Office
  • Deputy Cutler Brost, Dunn County Sheriff’s Office
  • Deputy Dalton King, Stark County Sheriff’s Department
  • State Trooper Jed Reile, North Dakota Highway Patrol
  • Deputy Jon Krabbenhoft, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office
  • Deputy Kevin Eldridge, Stark County Sheriff’s Offic
  • Chief Deputy Kennedy Pippenger and K9 Lyon, Hettinger County Sheriff’s Office
  • Deputy Stephen Byrne, Stark County Sheriff’s Office
  • Trooper Jonathan Stanley, North Dakota Highway Patrol

Alcohol and drug-related crashes are 100% preventable. Many lives would be saved in North Dakota each year if every driver consistently made the choice to always drive sober or find a sober ride. Special thanks to Conoco Phillips for sponsoring the Dickinson event.
