Families of road traffic victims invited to Day of Remembrance
For Immediate Release: Nov 07 2022
Bismarck, ND - Families and friends of those who lost their life or were severely injured in motor vehicle crashes are invited to join state and local officials to commemorate World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at the state capitol on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2 p.m.
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is an annual international event that was held for the first time in North Dakota last year. Friends and families are invited to attend to help raise awareness and honor the millions of people killed and millions more injured on the world’s roads each year as a way to call for change to prevent such tragedies.
Families are invited to bring items representing their lost loved one to help create a temporary memorial to symbolize the lives lost on North Dakota roads annually. Concrete Daisiez is also donating flowers to the memorial. Items will be returned immediately at the conclusion of the event.
Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at https://visionzero.nd.gov/events/WDR/RSVP/.
