Honoring 50 Years of McQuade's with Sober Rides
Bismarck, N.D. – Celebrating safely is always in season. During the 50th McQuade's Softball Tournament, ND Sober Ride helped 49 players, fans and friends get a sober ride with discounted Lyft codes all weekend long.
"McQuade's is a North Dakota tradition, and we love seeing people participate by having fun and making responsible choices," said Lauren Wahlman, Safety Public Information Program Manager of the North Dakota Department of Transportation Highway Safety Division. "ND Sober Ride makes it easy to plan ahead so everyone gets home safely."
Codes are sponsored by AAA – The Auto Club Group of North Dakota. This specific campaign also used sponsorship funds from Harvestone Low Carbon Partners. Companies interested in becoming part of the solution can sponsor ND Sober Ride by contacting lwahlman@nd.gov.
This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
