Responsible choices on the rise at Red River Valley Fair

Fargo, N.D. – The Red River Valley Fair brought big fun and even bigger numbers for ND Sober Ride. Over two exciting weekends, 119 fairgoers took advantage of discounted Lyft rides, making the responsible choice to get home safely through the rideshare program.

“Events like the Red River Valley Fair bring people together from all corners of the state,” said Lauren Wahlman, Safety Public Information Program Manager of the North Dakota Department of Transportation Highway Safety Division. “ND Sober Ride helps people plan ahead, so the good times don’t end in tragedy.”

Codes are sponsored by AAA – The Auto Club Group of North Dakota. Companies interested in becoming part of the solution can sponsor ND Sober Ride by contacting lwahlman@nd.gov

This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
