Speeding Slows You Down: Enforcement period begins July 1

STATEWIDE, ND – Law enforcement across the state will have extra patrols enforcing speed limits and removing aggressive drivers from the road as a part of the Speeding Slows You Down enforcement campaign July 1 – Aug. 15.
Speeding and/or aggressive driving is defined as speeding, driving too fast for conditions, following too close, or operating a vehicle in a reckless, negligent or aggressive manner.
Preliminary data for 2023 shows that speeding was a factor in 25% of fatal crashes in North Dakota.
