Tigirlily encourages North Dakotans to drive sober
For Immediate Release: Dec 13 2021
Statewide, ND – North Dakota sisters of the country music-duo Tigirlily have teamed up with the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) Safety Division to encourage drivers to always drive sober during Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over from Dec. 17 until Jan. 31.
Law enforcement across the state will have extra patrols to remove impaired drivers from the road while Tigirlily uses their voice and song “Somebody Does” in a new series of advertisements to remind drivers there is always a reason to drive sober.
“Every person on North Dakota roads is someone’s friend, family member and loved one,” states Kendra Slaubaugh. “Everyone is somebody’s reason in life and when you drive impaired, you put all of that at risk,” adds Krista Slaubaugh.
The ads conclude with the message to always drive sober or find a sober ride. Alcohol and drug-related crashes are 100% preventable, yet alcohol is a factor in about 41% of fatal crashes annually.
This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
