Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Begins March 1

For Immediate Release: Feb 21 2019
Statewide- Law enforcement across the state will once again have extra patrols to remove impaired drivers from the road. The statewide enforcement campaign Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over begins March 1 through March 31.

Over the past five years[1] (2014-2018), 43 percent of fatal crashes were known to involve alcohol.  This is a nearly 12 percent reduction over the previous five-year period (2013-2017).

Arrests for DUI are 100% preventable if a driver would take personal responsibility to drive sober or plan to have a sober ride.

This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
